I came across this hidden treasure among a dusty collection of VHS tapes. I honestly can't remember if I saw this before Night of the Demons or Withboard. But I do remember watching this more than 50 times in my youth.
As we grow older, we start to appreciate the intricate connections within the world of cinema. It's fascinating to realize that several characters in this film also appeared in other notable works by Kevin S Tenney.
Summary: The movie centers on a group of paranormal investigators trying to rid a haunted hotel using a contraption meant to attract and confine malevolent entities. Interestingly, the primary antagonist in the story is a male spellcaster commonly referred to as a warlock.
It has it all. The paranormal. The detectives. Brutal killing. Nudity. Demonic elements. Creepy Grounds keeper. Guns. Shower Scenes. All of the basic food groups of a normal 80's growing horror child.
And the film is littered with awesome insults from the Tony Vincente character. Here are a few.
Tony Vincenti: Who the hell are you kidding? You're going up there to take on Casper the fucking ghost. You don't need a detective... you need Bill Murray for Christ's sake.
Murray: We need each other.
Tony Vincenti: Speak for yourself, pal. I like girls.
